'08 The start of another year. I haven't written in this in forever. >_< there are reasons of course. Many college is very time consuming. But now, just 2 days before I leave for tech I'll think back to the first semester of college and '07. College taught me alot (duh) and changed me in many. The obvious... => I no longer have a normal sleep schedule. 2am is early. 10 am is early. 2pm or later is a good time to wake up especially weekends. No one is awake earlier. => There exist 3 meals a day... 'breakfast' at 12pm, lunch at 6, and dinner at 12am. I love my life. -_-;; => High school and ap classes really didn't prepare me much for college or maybe it's just the rigor of my school. getting a A is almost impossible. pass/fail is awesome. =D thank fully I might not have to go to grad school cause my gpa won't be pretty. I kind of wished I had gone to a magnet school or private school at times. => I know NOTHING about computers or famous people >_< The not so obvious... => Image changes with surrounding... it really does. I've seem it happen. => Sleep isn't necessary. College really is a time to take chances and make laps. Living in close proximity with others is really fun and awesome!! I love the close, house system structure of tech. =) 7 was the year that everything changed. High school was a safety net. I knew my place. I just had to follow it. The expectations and bars are already set. College is like the ocean. Everything changes. At the moment I really don't know what I want to do with my life anymore. In that manner, tech is like bubble, a strange twisted utopian society. Payment is out of D-bal. Dinner, breakfast, and snacks are already paid for. Everything else is out of D-bal. There is no tv. No really outside newspaper. If the world got attacked by UFOs, I wouldn't know it. I can actually see the stars in Pasadena. A meteor shower is awesome. The desert is really cold at night. Risk taking is fun. TAs are your best friend. =) My new years resolution... the obvious... => lose weight => try to sleep more => stop procasinating => don't fail anything 2nd term, end with a good gpa 3rd term, find something to do during the awful long summer the unobvious... => take risks => try something new => find my passion House of Leaves is awesome!! Everyone should read it. signing off... |
